The European Commission has cleared under the EU Merger Regulation the proposed acquisition of the Turkish company Eregli Demir ve Celik Fabrikalari T.A.S (“Erdemir”), by Arcelor AS (“Arcelor”) of Luxembourg and the Turkish fund Ordu Yardimlasma Kurumu (“Oyak”).
