Les résultats de l'EUROBAROMETRE Nº36 montrent de manière convaincante que trois quarts des citoyens de la Communauté Européenne (74% contre 19%) sont favorables à une telle interdiction, avec une majorité absolue dans tous les Etats membres. Les résultats vont de 88% pour les Portugais et 85% pour les Italiens à 55% pour les Néerlandais et 53% pour les Danois.
The results of EUROBAROMETER No. 36 show convincingly that three quarters of EC citizens (74% versus 19%), including an absolute majority in each of the twelve Member States of the Community are in favour of such a ban, ranging from 88% of Portuguese and 85% of Italians to 55% of Dutch and 53% of Danes.
