...[+++]par un nombre important de barrières aux échanges, contraignant souvent l'industrie pharmaceutique à répéter les essais des médicaments et les opérations de contrôle; 4. note les efforts entrepris dans le cadre de la Conférence Internationale d'Harmonisation (ICH) en matière d'harmonisation des exigences réglementaires pharmaceutiques et invite la Commission à présenter au Conseil un rapport sur les résultats obtenus au terme du premier cycle de conférences et sur les objectifs à fixer pour la poursuite des travaux; 5. encourage la Commission à poursuivre la négociation en cours des accords de reconnaissance mutuelle en matière d'inspection et de contrôle des médicaments, notamment en ce qui concerne l'équivalence des bonnes pratiques de fabrication avec les partenaires commerciaux de l'Union; 6. rappelle l'importance des droits de propriété intellectuelle pour l'industrie pharmaceutique, et le rôle crucial que joue une protection efficace, complète et respectée de ces droits pour assurer le financement d'une recherche innovatrice toujours plus coûteuse; 7. encourage la lutte contre la fraude et demande à la Commission et aux Etats membres de lutter en collaboration avec les instances appropriées au niveau international contre la contrefaçon, de veiller à la mise en oeuvre de l'accord sur les aspects des droits de propriété intellectuelle qui touchen ...VIII.
