I went into some detail as to the fact that the legal advice would—and the senator addressed it properly—lead to a circumstance in which we should fully expect the courts to say that if we are going to constitutionally enshrine the right to denominationally specific religion courses, we must expect that school boards and others would therefore expect to be granted the right to have teachers of that denomination selected to teach those courses, because of the history and tradition of how it's developed in Newfoundland and Labrador.
