TRADUCTIONS EN CONTEXTE

Le Conseil a autorisé la signature et la conclusion d'un accord entre l'UE et l'Organisation intergouvernementale pour les transports internationaux ferroviaires (OTIF) relatif à l'adhésion de l'UE à la Convention relative aux transports internationaux ferroviaires (COTIF), dont l'objectif est de favoriser, d'améliorer et de faciliter le transport ferroviaire international (doc. 10762/2/10 REV 2).
The Council authorised the signing and conclusion of an agreement between the EU and the Intergovernmental Organisation for International Carriage by Rail (OTIF) on the accession by the EU to the Convention concerning International Carriage by Rail (COTIF), which aims at promoting, improving and facilitating international rail traffic (10762/2/10).

La formule retenue est conforme à l'article 32 des Règles uniformes concernant le contrat de transport international ferroviaire des voyageurs et des bagages (CIV), annexe à la Convention relative aux transports internationaux ferroviaires (COTIF), auquel renvoie l'article 15 du règlement sur les droits et obligations des voyageurs ferroviaires internationaux.

(6) Strengthening of the rights of international rail passengers should build on the existing system of international law on this subject contained in Appendix A – Uniform rules concerning the Contract for International Carriage of Passengers and Luggage by Rail (CIV) to the Convention concerning International Carriage by Rail (COTIF) of 9 May 1980, as modified by the Protocol for the modification of the Convention concerning International Carriage by Rail of 3 June 1999 (1999 Protocol).
