En adoptant le 5 mars dernier à Lisbonne l'avis relatif au cadre législatif des RTE-T, élaboré par Bernard Soulage (FR/PSE), vice-président du Conseil régional de Rhône-Alpes, les membres de la commission COTER ont souligné la trop grande fragmentation des infrastructures actuelles, tant sur le plan géographique qu’entre les modes de transport. Ils saluent par ailleurs l'approche de la Commission européenne qui repose sur une planification des investissements distinguant un double réseau de transport: un réseau global, à réaliser avant la fin de l'année 2050, et un réseau central, à achever avant le 31/12/2030.
By adopting on the 5 March in Lisbon the opinion on the TEN-T legislative framework, drafted by Bernard Soulage (FR/PES), vice-president of the Rhone-Alpes Regional Council, COTER members stressed that the current infrastructure is still too fragmented, both geographically and in relation to transport modes, and welcomed the dual-layer approach proposed by the European Commission, with a schedule of investments focusing on a comprehensive network, to be in place before the end of 2050, and a core network, to be completed by 2030 at the latest.
