En 2009, le RASFF a accueilli son 34e membre, la Suisse, pour l’instant uniquement pour les produits d’origine animale. La Confédération a transmis cinq notifications en sa qualité de membre du RASFF et quinze autres que la Commission a diffusée en son nom. À l’occasion du 30e anniversaire du système, la Commission a organisé une conférence internationale qui a réuni les représentants de plus de 90 pays afin de débattre de l’avenir du RASFF. In 2009, RASFF welcomed its 34th member, Switzerland (as for now a partial member only, for products of animal origin. The Swiss Confederation has transmitted 5 notifications in its capacity as member of RASFF and as many as 15 other notifications, which the Commission forwarded on behalf of Switzerland. At the occasion of the 30-year anniversary of RASFF, the Commission organised an international RASFF conference with representatives from over 90 countries looking at the future of RASFF. A new RASFF portal web site ec.europa.eu/rasff was inaugurated, allowing the public a look inside the RASFF.

3. When a Community fishing vessel intends to enter a port in a Member State other than the flag Member State and has transmitted the prior notification referred to in paragraph 1 by electronic means, the competent authorities of the flag Member State shall immediately upon receipt forward the prior notification referred to in paragraph 1 by electronic means to the competent authorities of the coastal Member State.

Si la demande de signification ou de notification ne rentre manifestement pas dans le champ d’application du présent règlement ou si le non-respect des conditions de forme imposées rend impossible la signification ou la notification, la demande et les actes transmis sont retournés, dès leur réception, à l’entité d’origine, accompagnés de l’avis de retour dont le formulaire type figure à l’annexe I.
3. If the request for service is manifestly outside the scope of this Regulation or if non-compliance with the formal conditions required makes service impossible, the request and the documents transmitted shall be returned, on receipt, to the transmitting agency, together with the notice of return using the standard form set out in Annex I.

(21) When a document has to be sent from one Member State to another for service there, this Regulation and in particular the rules on service set out herein should apply together with Council Regulation (EC) No 1348/2000 of 29 May 2000 on the service in the Member States of judicial and extrajudicial documents in civil or commercial matters(7), and in particular Article 14 thereof in conjunction with Member States declarations made under Article 23 thereof.
