– J'ai voté en faveur de cette recommandation car elle met en valeur le caractère novateur, constructif et démocratique de la convocation de Conventions pour la révision des traités (exemple de l'élaboration de la Charte des droits fondamentaux de l'UE en 1999-2000 et du traité constitutionnel européen en 2002-2003), tout en reconnaissant le caractère tout à fait particulier de la révision des traités actuellement rendue nécessaire par la mise en place de mesures transitoires liées à l'entrée en vigueur du traité de Lisbonne.
– (FR) I voted for this recommendation since it highlights the innovative, constructive and democratic character of the convening of Conventions for the revision of the Treaties (for example, the Convention held from 1999-2000, which drafted the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union, and the Convention held from 2002-2003, which prepared the draft treaty establishing a Constitution for Europe), while recognising the altogether exceptional character of the revision of the Treaties currently made necessary by the implementation of transitional measures concerning the entry into force of the Treaty of Lisbon.
