Je tiens aussi à exprimer ma reconnaissance et ma gratitude au Parlement européen qui a pris clairement position dans la résolution qu’il adoptée sur la base du rapport Barón Crespo-Brok, qui a permis aux États membres de conclure un accord préservant les principaux objectifs du traité constitutionnel, tout en incorporant l’avertissement donné par les référendums français et néerlandais.
I would also like to acknowledge with gratitude the clear positions adopted by Parliament in the Resolution it adopted on the basis of the Barón Crespo-Brok report, which led to an agreement which was reached between the Member States that preserved the core objectives of the Constitutional Treaty and which incorporated the signals given by the French and Dutch referendums.

Pour le CESE toute solution de "sortie de crise" doit préserver les avancées et les équilibres atteints par le traité constitutionnel et prendre en considération le fait que le traité ait été ratifié, à ce jour par 15 des 25 États membres.
