Je me fiais tout simplement au fait que nous avions consenti à recevoir tous les amendements — peut-être que mon ouïe commence à diminuer, mais je n'ai pas entendu la Présidente poser la question — et c'est ce qu'on faisait normalement car la question était posée et ensuite, on passait à d'autres sénateurs qui voulaient bien proposer des amendements, pour en disposer à une autre séance ou plus tard aujourd'hui.
I was simply assuming that we had agreed to receive all amendments — my hearing is going a bit, perhaps, but I did not hear the question being put — and that is what was usually done, because the question was put and then we moved on to other senators who wanted to move amendments, to be dealt with at another sitting or maybe later today.
