Lors de la conférence de Doha sur le changement climatique tenue en décembre 2012, les parties au protocole de Kyoto à la convention-cadre des Nations unies sur les changements climatiques (ci-après dénommé le «protocole de Kyoto») ont adopté l'amendement de Doha, qui instaure la deuxième période d'engagement au titre du protocole de Kyoto, qui a débuté le 1er janvier 2013 et se terminera le 31 décembre 2020 (ci-après dénommé l'«amendement de Doha»).
At the Doha Climate Change Conference in December 2012, parties to the Kyoto Protocol to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (‘the Kyoto Protocol’) adopted the Doha Amendment, establishing a second commitment period of the Kyoto Protocol, starting on 1 January 2013 and ending on 31 December 2020 (‘the Doha Amendment’).

7. ESTIME qu'il convient de réexaminer, notamment dans le cadre des nouveaux engagements au titre du protocole de Kyoto, les actions menées actuellement par la Communauté et les Etats membres concernant l'efficacité énergétique afin, si nécessaire, de les recentrer, d'en améliorer l'efficacité et de les contrôler plus étroitement.
7. BELIEVES that, inter alia in the context of the new commitments under the Kyoto Protocol, present Community and Member State activities with relevance to energy efficiency should be reassessed in order if necessary to adapt their focus, improve their effectiveness and monitor more closely these activities.
