Mesdames et Messieurs, je vous appelle à ne pas autoriser la vente d’armes, quels qu’ils soient, à des pays tiers avant d’en avoir discuté au Conseil, et il ne fait aucun doute qu’une telle transaction contribuerait à renforcer la sécurité au sein de l’Union européenne plutôt que de l’affaiblir.
Ladies and gentlemen, I call on you not to allow the sale of arms of any description to third countries before the issue has been discussed in the Council and there is absolute certainty that such a transaction would serve to strengthen and not weaken the security situation throughout the European Union.
