C’est pourquoi je suis confiant qu’avec un supplément de compromis - et j’en appelle à l’esprit européen, surtout de ceux qui ne l’ont pas montré la dernière fois -, il sera possible d’avoir un budget 2011 et de construire la base d’une véritable discussion sérieuse sur les perspectives de financement de l’Union européenne pour l’avenir.
This is why I am confident that, with an additional commitment – and I appeal to the European spirit, especially of those who failed to show it last time – it will be possible to have a 2011 budget and to lay the foundations for a truly serious discussion on the prospects for financing the European Union in the future.
