IN-CONTEXT TRANSLATIONS

Compte tenu de la limite d’âge différente actuellement appliquée pour le retrait de la colonne vertébrale des bovins en tant que matériel à risque spécifié au Royaume-Uni et dans les autres États membres, le présent règlement ne devrait pas, pour des raisons de contrôle, s’appliquer avec effet immédiat aux colonnes vertébrales des bovins nés ou élevés au Royaume-Uni après le 31 juillet 1996 et abattus avant l’entrée en vigueur du présent règlement.
In view of the current difference of the age limit for the removal of vertebral column as specified risk material in the United Kingdom and the other Member States, for control reasons the immediate effects of this Regulation should not apply to vertebral column from bovine animals born or reared in the United Kingdom after 31 July 1996 and slaughtered before the coming into force of this Regulation.

In addition to the specified risk material listed in (a), the following tissues must be designated as specified risk material in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland: the entire head excluding the tongue, including the brain, eyes and trigeminal ganglia; the thymus, the spleen and the spinal cord of bovine animals aged over six months.
