The third meeting of the Sub-Committee on Trade and Sustainable Development (here-after the "Sub-committee") was held in Brussels on 7 and 8 December 2016.

Le comité «Commerce» a fait le point sur les progrès enregistrés par les sous-comités et a rappelé certaines des principales préoccupations, notamment la poursuite des pratiques discriminatoires concernant les spiritueux importés, principalement en Colombie mais aussi au Pérou, l’accès de l’UE aux marchés publics au niveau sous-central en Colombie, ainsi que les problèmes rencontrés au Pérou pour ce qui est de la certification des exportations de produits d’origine animale en provenance de l’UE.
The Trade Committee was used to take stock of progress achieved by the subcommittees and to reiterate some of the main concerns, including the continued discrimination of imported spirits most notably in Colombia but also in Peru, EU market access to public procurements at sub central level in Colombia and problems in Peru in relation to certification of EU exports of animal products.

The second meeting of the Sub-Committee on Trade and Sustainable Development (the Subcommittee) was held in Bogota on 16 and 17 June 2015.

L'article 3 de la décision 2014/494/UE du Conseil (2) précise quelles sont les parties de l'accord à appliquer à titre provisoire, parmi lesquelles les dispositions relatives à l'établissement et au fonctionnement du sous-comité sanitaire et phytosanitaire (ci-après dénommé «sous-comité SPS»), du sous-comité douanier et du sous-comité concernant les indications géographiques (ci-après dénommé «sous-comité IG»).
Article 3 of Council Decision 2014/494/EU (2) specifies which parts of the Agreement are to be applied provisionally, including the provisions on the establishment and functioning of the Sanitary and Phytosanitary Sub-Committee (‘SPS Sub-Committee’), the Customs Sub-Committee, and the Geographical Indications Sub-Committee (‘GI Sub-Committee’).

2. Le secrétariat du sous-comité SPS veille à ce que la correspondance adressée au sous-comité SPS soit transmise au président du sous-comité SPS et diffusée, s'il y a lieu, en tant que documents visés à l'article 7.
2. The Secretariat of the SPS Sub-Committee shall ensure that correspondence addressed to the SPS Sub-Committee is forwarded to the Chair of the SPS Sub-Committee and circulated, where appropriate, as documents referred to in Article 7.

Les mesures administratives et procédurales prises par les autorités compétentes des États membres et des pays associés, les informations échangées lors des réunions régulièrement organisées par le comité ERIC et les éclaircissements fournis par les divers services de la Commission en réponse aux questions soulevées par des représentants des États membres et des pays associés ont grandement facilité la mise en œuvre du règlement ERIC.
The administrative and procedural measures taken by the competent authorities of the Member States and associated countries, the information exchanged at the regular meetings of the ERIC Committee and the clarifications provided by the various Commission services to questions raised by Member States and associated countries representatives have played an important role in contributing to the facilitation of the implementation of the ERIC Regulation.
