Nous n'allons donc pas nous contenter de voter contre cette motion aujourd'hui, nous dirons aux Américains et aux Britanniques que nous les appuyons (1145) Nous allons bien entendu prier pour le peuple innocent d'Irak et espérer qu'il puisse connaître un avenir meilleur que celui auquel il pouvait aspirer sous ce régime tyrannique; nous souhaitons aux Irakiens de connaître un avenir où ils jouiront des mêmes libertés démocratiques que nous, libertés auxquelles ont droit chaque homme et chaque femme, même dans le monde islamique, où que ce soit sur cette planète.
Therefore, we will not merely vote against this motion today, we will tell the Americans and the British that we are with them (1145) We will of course pray for the innocent people of Iraq and hope that they may have a better future than the one they have had under this tyrannical regime, and we will wish that they may have a future where they have the democratic freedoms that we enjoy, that every man and every woman, yes, even in the Islamic world, is entitled to in every part of this earth.
