Calls on the Commission and the Member States to address the severe underrepresentation of women in the ICT sector, in particular among people in higher positions and on boards; urges the Commission and the Member States to recognise that the draft directive on improving the gender balance among non-executive directors of companies listed on stock exchanges and related measures provides a real opportunity to change the culture inside companies, which would have an impact on all levels of the hierarchy, and therefore urges the unblocking of the Directive in the Council; urgently reminds the Commission of its responsibility to take any action that could help break the deadlock in the Council as regards EU legislation addressing transparency and greater balance in recruitment for decision-making positions.

invite instamment la Commission à prévoir, dans la prochaine stratégie pour l'égalité entre les hommes et les femmes pour la période 2016-2020, des mesures spécifiques destinées à soutenir l'intégration et la participation des femmes dans la société de l'information et à promouvoir activement les réseaux de femmes en ligne, étant donné que ceux-ci témoignent d'une approche autonome, partant du terrain, de l'émancipation des femmes et devraient bénéficier de tout le soutien nécessaire pour être viables à long terme.
Urges the Commission to include in the upcoming Strategy for equality between women and men 2016-2020 specific actions to support the integration and participation of women in the information society and to strongly promote women’s networks online as they are the manifestation of a self-organised, bottom-up approach to female empowerment and should receive all the support necessary for them to become long-term.

Urges the Commission, within the scope of the Digital Single Market Strategy, and more specifically with regard to the reference to building an inclusive e-society, to increase the visibility of women by setting up a pilot project on a European online university specifically focused on ICT and technical engineering and introducing a tailored scholarship programme for women in the area of ICT and new media.

se félicite de la finalisation des négociations sur l'accord de réadmission entre l'Union européenne et la Turquie et invite le gouvernement turc, dans l'attente de l'entrée en vigueur de cet accord, à veiller à la mise en œuvre intégrale des accords bilatéraux existants; souligne l'importance d'intensifier la coopération entre l'Union et la Turquie en matière de gestion des migrations et de contrôles aux frontières, compte tenu notamment du nombre élevé d'immigrés clandestins qui entrent sur le territoire de l'Union par la Turquie; se félicite de la consultation de la société civile sur trois projets de lois en matière d'asile et invite instamment le gouvernement à soumettre dans les meilleurs délais ces projets de lois au parlement; estime qu'il conviendra, une fois l'accord de réadmission entré en vigueur, que le Conseil charge la Commission d'engager le dialogue sur la question des visas, en s'attachant particulièrement aux conditions d'entrée des hommes et femmes d'affaires et des étudiants qui se rendent dans l'Union, mesure indispensable pour la mobilité;
Welcomes the finalisation of the negotiations on the EU-Turkey readmission agreement and calls on the Turkish Government to ensure that, until this agreement enters into force, existing bilateral agreements are fully implemented; underlines the importance of intensifying cooperation between the EU and Turkey on migration management and border controls, inter alia given the large percentage of illegal immigrants entering EU territory via Turkey; welcomes the consultation with civil society on three draft laws in the field of asylum and urges the Government to bring the laws before Parliament without delay; takes the view that, once the readmission agreement enters into force, the Council should mandate the Commission to initiate a visa dialogue, with particular attention to the matter of entry conditions for businesspeople and students travelling to the EU, as a necessary step in relation to mobility;

Supports the Government’s ongoing dialogue with religious communities, including the Alevis, as well as the Greek, Armenian, Aramean and other Christian communities; is disappointed, however, that only limited progress has been made on the legal framework for the functioning of these communities, notably as regards their ability to obtain legal personality, to open and operate houses of worship, to train clergy and to resolve property problems not addressed by the Law on Foundations; calls – while noting the prevailing delays and procedural problems – for an effective and continued effort on implementation of the Law on Foundations, which must enable the aforementioned religious communities to function without undue constraints, in line with the ECHR and the case law of the European Court of Human Rights; urges the Government further to increase its support for freedom of conscience and religious plurality in Turkish society;

invite instamment la Commission à garantir, dans le cadre des politiques de l'Union relatives au commerce extérieur, aux investissements et au développement, que les activités économiques menées par des sociétés privées de l'Union dans des pays tiers respectent les normes internationales en matière de Droits de l'homme, en particulier en ce qui concerne l'exploitation des ressources naturelles et l'obligation internationale d'obtenir le consentement préalable et en connaissance de cause des communautés locales et des peuples indigènes affectés; estime que le Parlement devrait assurer un suivi des progrès accomplis et faire rapport à ce sujet;
Urges the Commission, within its EU foreign trade, investment and development policies, to ensure that the economic activities of EU private companies in third countries abide by international human rights standards, in particular as regards the exploitation of natural resources and the international obligation to obtain the prior and informed consent of local communities and indigenous people affected; considers that Parliament should monitor and report on the progress made in this matter;
