Je siège au comité à titre de membre d'office ayant un droit de vote, et j'espère convaincre mes collègues de faire comme certains autres comités qui siégeront ce soir, et après avoir entendu la ministre et ses collaborateurs, à savoir que nous passions à l'étude article par article du projet de loi et que nous en fassions rapport sans amendement demain au Sénat afin qu'il puisse franchir l'étape de la troisième lecture avant qu'ait lieu, comme le soupçonnent bien gens en ville, la dissolution de cette Chambre.
I sit on this committee as an ex officio member with a right of vote, and I hope to convince my colleagues that we would do what is happening in some other committees tonight, and having heard from the minister and from officials, that we would move to clause-by-clause and report this bill without amendment tomorrow in the Senate so that it could get third reading before what many people in town think will be the drawing to a conclusion of this House.
