5. demande aux États-Unis et à l'Iran d'agir conformément à leur intérêt commun de rétablir la stabilité et la sécurité en Iraq et de combattre l'État islamique; relève cependant le lien étroit entre les situations en Iraq et en Syrie; souligne par conséquent qu'aux fins d'une éventuelle coopération fructueuse entre les États-Unis et l'Iran en Iraq, il convient de s'occuper en même temps de la situation en Syrie, où une véritable transition politique doit être mise en place d'urgence;
5. Calls on the US and Iran to act on the basis of their shared interest in a stable and secure Iraq and in opposition to the IS; notes, however, a close link between the situation in Iraq and that in Syria; stresses, therefore, that in order for potential cooperation between the US and Iran in Iraq to achieve tangible results, the situation in Syria needs to be simultaneously addressed, where a genuine political transition must be enacted as a matter of urgency;

EUJUST LEX exécutera son mandat sur fond d'une situation dans laquelle l'ordre et la sécurité publics, la sécurité et la sûreté des personnes, ainsi que la stabilité de l'Iraq sont menacés et où les objectifs de la politique étrangère et de sécurité commune, énoncés à l'article 11 du traité, pourraient être compromis.
EUJUST LEX will implement its mandate in the context of a situation posing a threat to law and order, the security and safety of individuals, and to the stability of Iraq and which could harm the objectives of the Common Foreign and Security Policy as set out in Article 11 of the Treaty.
