IN-CONTEXT TRANSLATIONS

Il était demandé aux autorités hongroises de prendre notamment les mesures suivantes: i) mettre un terme à la situation de déficit public au plus tard en 2012 d'une manière crédible et durable; ii) fournir un effort budgétaire supplémentaire d'au moins ½ % du PIB afin d'assurer la réalisation de l'objectif de déficit de 2,5 % du PIB en 2012; et iii) prendre les mesures structurelles supplémentaires nécessaires pour faire en sorte qu'en 2013, le déficit reste largement inférieur au seuil de 3 % du PIB.
The Hungarian authorities were asked to undertake the following steps in particular: (i) to put an end to the excessive deficit situation by 2012 in a credible and sustainable manner; (ii) to undertake an additional fiscal effort of at least ½ % of GDP to ensure the attainment of the 2012 deficit target of 2,5 % of GDP; and (iii) to take the necessary additional measures of a structural nature to ensure that the deficit in 2013 remains well below the 3 % of GDP threshold.

Although the Commission considered the Hungarian budgetary situation to be fragile on the basis of information available in July, it nonetheless believed the steps taken by the Hungarian government to be adequately compliant with the recommendations set forward by the Economic and Financial Affairs Council (ECOFIN).
