Le 21 décembre 1990, le Syndicat français de l'Express international (SFEI), un consortium de sociétés offrant des services de courrier express en concurrence avec SFMI-Chronopost, a saisi la Commission d'une plainte, au motif que l'assistance logistique et commerciale fournie par La Poste à SFMI-Chronopost comportait une aide d'État au sens des articles 92 et 93 du traité CE.
On 21 December 1990, the Syndicat Français de l'Express International ('SFEI`), a consortium of companies providing express delivery services in competition with SFMI-Chronopost, lodged a complaint with the Commission on the grounds that the logistical and commercial assistance provided by the post office to SFMI-Chronopost involved State aid under Articles 92 and 93 of the EC Treaty.
