Je crois que si les principes du projet de loi C-64 étaient appliqués à ces femmes à qui nous avons rendu hommage à la Chambre aujourd'hui, elles seraient probablement insultées car ces principes pourraient faire croire qu'elles ont accompli leur tâche et ont reçu ces honneurs simplement parce qu'elles sont des femmes et non à cause de leurs efforts individuels.
If the principles of Bill C-64 were applied to the women who were honoured today in the House, they might very easily find it insulting. There could be the allusion that they received these awards or accomplished their tasks simply because they were women and not because of their own individual efforts.
