Definition: Repeated, voluntary or involuntary passage of faeces, usually of normal or near-normal consistency, in places not appropriate for that purpose in the individual's own sociocultural setting. La Commission consulte les organismes scientifiques appropriés, à intervalles réguliers, sur les matières relevant de la conservation et de la gestion des ressources halieutiques, y compris sur les aspects biologiques, économiques, environnementaux, sociaux et techniques tout en tenant compte de la gestion adéquate des fonds publics, avec comme objectif d'éviter la répétition des travaux par les différents organismes scientifiques.
The Commission shall consult appropriate scientific bodies at regular intervals on matters pertaining to the conservation and management of fisheries resources, including biological, economic, environmental, social and technical considerations, while taking into account the proper management of public funds, with the aim of avoiding duplication of work by different scientific bodies.

Il est, en effet, indiqué : « L'absence de certitude scientifique due à l'insuffisance d'information et de connaissance scientifique pertinente en ce qui concerne les effets négatifs potentiels d'un organisme vivant modifié sur la conservation et l'utilisation durable de la diversité biologique dans la Partie importatrice, prenant également en compte les risques pour la santé humaine, n'empêche pas cette Partie de prendre une décision, si approprié , concernant l'importation de l'organisme vivant modifié en question, visé au paragraphe 3 ci-dessus, dans le but d'éviter ou de réduire de tels effets potentiellement négatifs » (traduction non officielle).
In fact, article 10, paragraph 6 states: "Lack of scientific certainty due to insufficient relevant scientific information and knowledge regarding the extent of the potential adverse effects of a living modified organism on the conservation and sustainable use of biological diversity in the Party of import, taking also into account risks to human health, shall not prevent that Party from taking a decision, as appropriate, with regard to the import of living modified organism in question as referred to in paragraph 3 above, in order to avoid or minimize such potential adverse effects".
