– The next item is the report (A7-0038/2011) by Mr Schwab, on behalf of the Committee on the Internal Market and Consumer Protection, on the proposal for a directive of the European Parliament and of the Council on consumer rights (COM(2008)0614 – C7-0349/2008 – 2008/0196(COD)).

Je tiens à remercier tous ceux qui ont participé aux négociations, parfois difficiles, qui ont débuté en mars 2011, et notamment le rapporteur, M. Sánchez Presedo, et les rapporteurs fictifs, M. Schwab, M. Pallone, M. De Backer, Mme Ford et M. Giegold, ainsi que les présidences polonaise, danoise et chypriote et irlandaise.
I would like to thank all the actors involved in the negotiations which started in March 2011 and which have not always been easy, in particular the rapporteur Mr Sánchez Presedo and the shadow rapporteurs Mr Schwab, Mr Pallone, Mr De Backer, Ms Ford, Mr Giegold as well as the Polish, Danish, Cypriot and Irish Presidencies.
