The Council adopted a Regulation imposing a definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of woven polyolefin sacks and bags originating in the People's Republic of China.

La Commission, suite à une plainte de l'ETAP (European Association for Textiles Polyolefin), a ouvert en janvier 1989 une procédure antidumping sur les importations de sacs tissés en polyolefine originaires de Chine (1). Les résultats de l'enquête ont été, entre autres, les suivants : La marge de dumping résultante de la comparaison entre la valeur normale et le prix à l'exportation dans la Communauté s'élève a 80,8%.
Following a complaint from the European Association for Textile Polyolefins (EATP) the Commission initiated an anti-dumping proceeding in January last year concerning imports of woven polyolefin sacks originating in China.1 The investigation revealed a dumping margin of 80.8% based on a comparison between the normal value and the export price in the Community.

A la lumière de ces éléments et afin d'éliminer le préjudice et rétablir une rentabilité pour l'industrie communautaire, la Commission a décidé d'instituer un droit antidumping provisoire de 43,4% sur le prix net franco frontière des importations de sacs tissés en polyolefine originaires de Chine.
In the light of these factors and in order to redress the injury to the Community industry and re-establish profitability, the Commission has decided to impose a 43.4% provisional anti-dumping duty on the free-at-Community-frontier net price of imports of woven polyolefin sacks from China.
