1. Lorsque les navires de pêche battant pavillon d'un État membre capturent, détiennent à bord, transbordent ou débarquent des requins, l'État membre du pavillon transmet à la Commission, au plus tard le 1mai de chaque année, un rapport annuel global sur la mise en œuvre du présent règlement au cours de l'année précédente, conformément au règlement (CE) n° 1224/2009 établissant un régime communautaire de contrôle afin d'assurer le respect des règles de la politique commune de la pêche et au règlement (CE) n° 404/2011 portant modalités d'application du règlement susmentionné.
1. Where fishing vessels flying the flag of a Member State catch, retain on-board, tranship or land sharks, the flag Member State shall, in accordance with Regulations (EC) Nº 1224/2009 establishing a community control system for ensuring compliance with the rules of the Common Fisheries Policy and (EU) Nº 404/2011 laying down detailed rules for the implementation of the above regulation, send to the Commission, annually, by 1 May at the latest, a comprehensive annual report on the implementation of this Regulation during the previous year.

Where such provisions are to some extent also of a horizontal nature and apply to a range of other agricultural products, such as those on marketing standards and trade with third countries, they should also be updated and simplified so as to allow for their easy incorporation, at a later date, into the abovementioned Regulation establishing a common organisation of agricultural markets.
