TRADUCTIONS EN CONTEXTE

L'objet de cette proposition était de tenir compte de la résolution du Parlement européen et des résultats des négociations au Conseil concernant la proposition de modification du règlement EURODAC adoptée le 3 décembre 2008[4]. Parallèlement, elle prévoyait d’accorder aux services répressifs des États membres et à Europol la possibilité d’accéder à la base de données centrale d’EURODAC aux fins de la prévention et de la détection des infractions terroristes et autres infractions pénales graves ainsi qu’aux fins des enquêtes en la matière[5].
The purpose of this proposal was to take into account the resolution of the European Parliament and the results of negotiations in the Council concerning the proposal for amending the EURODAC Regulation which was adopted on 3 December 2008.[4] At the same time, it also introduced the possibility for Member States' law enforcement authorities and Europol to access the EURODAC central database for the purposes of prevention, detection and investigation of terrorist offences and other serious criminal offences.[5]

2. The provisions of the Eurodac Regulation which is annexed to this Agreement and forms part thereof, together with its implementing measures adopted pursuant to Article 22 or 23(2) of the Eurodac Regulation and — in respect of implementing measures adopted after the entry into force of this Agreement — implemented by Denmark as referred to in Article 4 of this Agreement, shall under international law apply to the relations between the Community and Denmark.

The Council took note of a presentation by Commissioner Gradin of a proposal for a Regulation on Eurodac, which her institution adopted on 26 May on the basis of the provisions of the Amsterdam Treaty under which asylum and migration became Community matters.
