20. se félicite de l'annonce par la Commission européenne d'un financement de secours d'urgence de 2 millions d'euros aux victimes des inondations dans le nord de l'Inde et au Népal; exprime sa solidarité envers la population du Bihar touchée par les inondations dévastatrices; demande à l'UE et à l'ONU de coopérer avec les autorités indiennes pour rechercher les raisons d'un tel changement du cours des rivières indiennes afin de réduire au maximum les risques d'inondation;
20. Welcomes the swift announcement by the European Commission of more than EUR 2 million in emergency relief funding for the victims of the floods in northern India and Nepal; expresses its solidarity with the people of Bihar following the disastrous floods; calls on the EU and UN to work with the Indian authorities to undertake research into the reasons why Indian rivers are changing course so dramatically so that the dangers of flooding are minimised;
