Bernard Patry (Pierrefonds-Dollard, Lib.): Monsieur le Président, ma question s'adresse au ministre des Affaires intergouvernementales et a trait aux propos tenus hier par la députée de Rimouski-Témiscouata concernant la ville de Hull, et suite aux excuses qu'elle a tenues aujourd'hui dans cette Chambre.
Mr. Bernard Patry (Pierrefonds-Dollard, Lib.): Mr. Speaker, my question is for the Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs, and concerns both the statements made by the hon. member for Rimouski-Témiscouata regarding the City of Hull and her apology in the House.

Conformément aux articles 68(2) et 69(1) du Règlement, sur motion de M Tremblay (Rimouski Témiscouata), appuyée par M. Sauvageau (Terrebonne), le projet de loi C-380, Loi concernant la désignation du jour de Louis Riel et annulant la déclaration de culpabilité prononcée contre celui-ci le 1 août 1885, est déposé, lu une première fois, l'impression en est ordonnée et la deuxième lecture en est fixée à la prochaine séance de la Chambre.
Pursuant to Standing Orders 68(2) and 69(1), on motion of Mrs. Tremblay (Rimouski Témiscouata), seconded by Mr. Sauvageau (Terrebonne), Bill C-380, An Act respecting the designation of a Louis Riel Day and revoking his conviction of August 1, 1885, was introduced, read the first time, ordered to be printed and ordered for a second reading at the next sitting of the House.

Mme Suzanne Tremblay (Rimouski-Témiscouata, BQ): Monsieur le Président, le 9 septembre 1996, quatorze leaders de la communauté italo-québécoise, issus de différents courants politiques, dont la directrice du Centre des femmes italiennes de Mont-réal, trois anciens présidents du Congrès national des Italo-Canadiens, le président des gens d'affaires et professionnels italo-canadiens, et même le sénateur libéral Pietro Rizzuto, ont signé un manifeste et réclament, en ce qui concerne l'avenir du Québec, un débat politique, lucide et responsable dans le respect de la démocratie.
Mrs. Suzanne Tremblay (Rimouski-Témiscouata, BQ): Mr. Speaker, on September 9, 1996, fourteen leaders of Quebec's Italian community representing various political stripes, including the director of Montreal's Italian women's centre, three past presidents of the National Congress of Italian Canadians, the president of the Italian-Canadian business people and professionals, and even Liberal senator Pietro Rizzuto, have signed a manifesto asking, in regard to Quebec's future, that a clear and responsible political debate take place, in keeping with democracy.
