The financial package amounting to some 9,5 billion DM has been agreed upon, after several changes were made to the original concept : - the Commission notably insisted that the aid quantified as DM 966 million - an open ended scheme to subsidize energy prices during and after the restructuring period - should be deleted - the Commission also insisted that DM 344.5 million aid to compensate remaining structural disadvantages in operating the plants after the restructuring period could not be granted - finally a scheduled investment of DM 212 million for the aniline plant had to be excluded from the aided restructuring plan.
