À la demande de l’institution reconnue comme compétente, introduite au plus tard trois mois après avoir établi quelle est la législation applicable, l’institution ayant perçu des cotisations à titre provisoire les transfère à l’institution reconnue comme compétente pour la période correspondante en vue de régler la situation relative aux cotisations dues par une personne physique et/ou morale.
Upon request of the institution identified as being competent, which shall be made at the latest three months after the applicable legislation has been determined, the institution that has provisionally received contributions shall transfer them to the institution identified as being competent for that period for the purpose of settling the situation concerning the contributions owed by the legal and/or natural person to it.

(5) Toute personne peut, dans le délai prévu par ailleurs au paragraphe (1) pour l’établissement d’une cotisation à son égard, renoncer à l’application de ce paragraphe en présentant au ministre une renonciation en la forme déterminée par celui-ci qui précise l’objet de la renonciation ainsi que sa période d’application.

(a) In applying German legislation governing the calculation of pensions, in particular the provisions concerning the higher assessment for periods of contribution in cases where a prescribed minimum number of years of coverage has been completed, or in cases where a person has been in employment subject to mandatory coverage for a prescribed period and has received remuneration in kind throughout that period, periods of coverage completed in Canada or similar employment in Canada shall not be taken into account.
