L’Agence européenne des droits fondamentaux devrait faire son travail et émettre un avis. Comme l’ont indiqué la Commission et le Conseil, s’il y a des problèmes dans la loi actuelle, les lois anti-discrimination à l’œuvre dans cette Union européenne, défendons nos positions et assurons-nous que le groupe socialiste, d’une seule voix avec notre parti frère en Lituanie, condamne cette loi et espérons que cela se passera ainsi – qu’elle rejoigne l’histoire ancienne.
The Fundamental Rights Agency should do its job and give its opinion and, as the Commission and Council have said, there are problems within existing law, anti-discrimination laws in this European Union; let us defend what we have and let us ensure that the Socialist Group, along with our sister party in Lithuania, condemn this law, and let us hope that that is what will happen – that it will be consigned to history.
