The two biggest EC cooperation projects in China, both of which are to be considered for renewal this year, are: the Dairy Development Project, which has provided 45,000 tonnes of dried skimmed milk and 15,000 tonnes of butter oil to twenty municipalities in China from 1988 to 1993, worth over 100 MECU at today's prices and backed up by 4.5 MECU of technical assistance; and the China-EC Management Institute (CEMI), the aim of which has been to fund management training which is legally and financially autonomous and which can achieve the status and quality of an internationally recognised business school.
