Après plusieurs années d'application du règlement (CE) n° 2532/98 du Conseil et compte tenu du fait que le champ des pouvoirs de la BCE a été élargi par le règlement (UE) n° 1024/2013 du 15 octobre 2013 confiant à la Banque centrale européenne des missions spécifiques ayant trait aux politiques en matière de surveillance prudentielle des établissements de crédit, la BCE a soumis au Conseil, le 16 avril 2014, une recommandation relative au règlement du Conseil modifiant le règlement (CE) n° 2532/98.
Following several years of application of Council Regulation (EC) No 2532/98 and taking into account the fact that the scope of the ECB's powers was extended by Council Regulation (EU) No 1024/2013 of 15 October 2013 conferring specific tasks on the European Central Bank concerning policies relating to the prudential supervision of credit institutions, on 16 April 2014 the ECB submitted to Council a Recommendation for a Council Regulation amending Council Regulation (EC) No 2532/98.
