Mais ce dialogue que nous prônons, auquel nous croyons et que nous mettons en pratique, Monsieur le Président, n’a pas été anéanti par un gouvernement de l’Union européenne, ni par Oswaldo Payá, ni par Elisardo Sánchez, ni par Marta Beatriz Roque, mais par la politique d’exécutions, par l’arrestation de journalistes indépendants - tels que Raúl Rivero, qui est en train de moisir dans les prisons cubaines, et d’autres avec lui - et par la politique d’arrestation de dissidents pacifiques et de militants pour les droits de l’homme.
But the dialogue that we advocate, that we believe in and which we put into practice, Mr President, has not been wrecked by any government of the European Union, nor by Osvaldo Payá, nor by Elisardo Sánchez, nor by Marta Beatriz Roque, but by the policy of executions, the arrest of independent journalists - such as Raúl Rivero, who is currently rotting in Cuban prisons, and others - and the policy of arresting peaceful dissidents and human rights campaigners.
