– (IT) Madame la Présidente, Mesdames et Messieurs, nous nous sommes opposés à la proposition de directive en commission parce que la rapporteure avait radicalement changé la proposition de la Commission de manière restrictive en étendant son champ d’application; en proposant la suppression progressive de 33 autres substances à l’annexe III, y compris les retardateurs de flammes bromés et chlorés, ainsi que le PVC et ses additifs; en limitant la portée des exemptions et le temps nécessaire pour s’adapter; et en introduisant des réglementations restrictives pour les nanomatériaux.
– (IT) Madam President, ladies and gentlemen, we opposed the proposal for a directive in committee because the rapporteur had radically changed the Commission’s proposal in a restrictive way by expanding its scope; proposing the gradual phase-out of a further 33 substances in Annex III, including brominated and chlorinated flame retardants, as well as PVC and its additives; limiting the scope for exemptions and the time taken to adjust; and introducing restrictive regulations for nanomaterials.
