It is recalled that as a matter of good practice, in the context of referrals initiated as a result of the evaluation of pharmacovigilance data, the Pharmacovigilance Risk Assessment Committee generally seeks to avoid appointing as rapporteur the member nominated by the Member State that initiated the referral procedure.

4. La rémunération versée au titre des services fournis par le rapporteur et corapporteur et de tout appui scientifique et technique y afférent est sans préjudice de l'obligation pour les États membres de s’abstenir de donner aux membres et aux experts du comité pour l’évaluation des risques en matière de pharmacovigilance des instructions incompatibles avec les tâches qui incombent à titre individuel à ces membres et experts en leur qualité de rapporteur ou de corapporteur, ou incompatibles avec les tâches et responsabilités de l’Agence.
4. The remuneration for the services provided by the rapporteur and the co-rapporteur and any related scientific and technical support shall be without prejudice to the obligation of Member States to refrain from giving the members and experts of the Pharmacovigilance Risk Assessment Committee instructions incompatible with the individual tasks of those members and experts in their capacity as rapporteur or co-rapporteur, or incompatible with the tasks and responsibilities of the Agency.
