Naturellement, telle est notre ambition afin de réaliser le rêve que Romano Prodi partageait avec les citoyens d’Europe lorsqu’il était président de la Commission et qu’il soutenait vivement l’élargissement, qu’il exprimait le souhait d’une Europe unie capable de proposer un projet politique solide, de redonner confiance à ceux qui considéraient avec nervosité les grands changements qui avaient lieu à l’époque et pour nous permettre donc d’être les architectes d’une action internationale à visage humain.
Naturally, this is our ambition, in order to achieve the dream shared by Romano Prodi with the citizens of Europe when, as President of the Commission, he strongly supported enlargement and expressed the wish for a united Europe able to offer a robust political project, to restore confidence to those looking nervously at the major changes taking place in our time, and thus enable us to be the architects of an international action with a human face.
