Le Comité marque son accord de principe sur la proposition d'étendre la palette des tâches que l'OHMI devrait exécuter en lien avec l'Observatoire, qui supposerait désormais d'éduquer le grand public et les agences chargées de faire appliquer la réglementation quant à l'importance des DPI et la meilleure manière d'assurer leur protection, de mener des activités de recherche sur la contrefaçon et la règlementation en matière de DPI ou encore d'améliorer l'échange d'informations en ligne pour renforcer l'application des dispositions dans ce domaine.
The Committee agrees in principle with the proposal to extend the range of tasks that the OHIM should be carrying out in relation to the Observatory to include education of the public and enforcement agencies on the importance of IPR and how to best to protect it, research on counterfeiting and IPR regulation, and the improvement of online information exchange to enhance enforcement.
