Cependant, dans un souci d’équité vis-à-vis des villes des États membres, chaque ville ne peut participer qu’à un seul concours réservé aux seules villes des pays candidats ou candidats potentiels pendant la période 2020-2033, et toute ville ayant participé à un tel concours ne sera, pendant cette même période, autorisée à prendre part à un concours ultérieur en vertu des dispositions de l’article 3, paragraphe 2, applicables aux nouveaux États membres.
However, for reasons of equity with the cities in the Member States, every city shall be allowed to participate in one competition only for cities in both the candidate and potential candidate countries during the period from 2020 to 2033, and it shall not be permissible for a city which participated in such a competition to participate in any subsequent competition in a new Member State, under the rules laid down in Article 3(2), during that same period.
