La Communication prévoit différentes orientations permettant d'aller plus loin pour combiner le développement du marché intérieur avec l'intégration des objectifs environnementaux prévue par le Traité d'Amsterdam de sorte que les deux politiques se soutiennent et se renforcent mutuellement davantage, tout en développant en même temps des synergies positives entre elles.
The communication sets out various strategies for moving ahead in integrating the development of the internal market with the environmental objectives contained in the Amsterdam Treaty. These strategies will enable the two policies to further strengthen and support each other, while simultaneously developing positive interaction between them.
