Je remercie vivement la présidence irlandaise d’avoir persuadé ses collègues du Conseil, d’après tout ce que j’ai entendu dire, que les termes posant problème devraient être supprimés de façon à ne pas établir entre les instruments bilatéraux et les instruments communautaires une hiérarchie rigide, au détriment de ces derniers.
I am extremely grateful to the Irish presidency for persuading its colleagues in the Council, according to all the accounts I have received, that the offending wording should be deleted so that a rigid hierarchy between bilateral instruments and EU instruments would not be established to the detriment of the latter.
