Il est souhaitable, dans un souci de prudence, d'établir une coordination minimale des règles en matière de limitation du taux d'intérêt utilisé dans le calcul des provisions techniques et, pour cette limitation, les méthodes actuellement existantes étant toutes également correctes, prudentielles et équivalentes, il semble approprié de donner aux États membres la possibilité de choisir librement la méthode à utiliser.
It is desirable, in the interests of prudence, to establish a minimum of coordination of rules limiting the rate of interest used in calculating the technical provisions. For the purposes of such limitation, since existing methods are all equally correct, prudential and equivalent, it seems appropriate to leave Member States a free choice as to the method to be used.
