Calls on the Commission, in the context of the European Fund for Strategic Investments (EFSI) and the revision of the Europe 2020 strategy, to support European cultural heritage projects, including large-scale projects, on the grounds that they create jobs in all regions, particularly for young people, and contribute to social cohesion; notes the multiple benefits of investment in the cultural heritage – which enhance the intrinsic value of the European cultural heritage – and stresses the need to consolidate public-private partnerships for funding purposes;

19. est convaincu que la création et la promotion d'une "marque Europe" apportera une forte valeur ajoutée à la réussite de l'Europe en tant que première destination touristique au monde et, plus particulièrement, à la promotion du patrimoine culturel européen; invite, par conséquent, les autorités de tous les États membres à coopérer avec la Commission en complétant cette marque par des efforts nationaux et régionaux et en entreprenant des actions communes pour promouvoir l'Europe comme un ensemble de destinations touristiques de qualité lors de grands événements internationaux ou dans les foires et salons touristiques de grande ampleur;
19. Is convinced that the creation and promotion of a ‘Europe brand’ will offer high added value for the success of Europe as the world’s number one tourist destination and for the promotion of the European cultural heritage in particular; calls, therefore, on the authorities of all Member States to cooperate with the Commission, and to complement such a brand with their own national and regional efforts and to jointly promote Europe at major international events and large-­scale tourism fairs as a collection of high­-quality tourist destinations;

La promotion du patrimoine culturel matériel et immatériel à la lumière, entre autres, de la convention de l'Unesco de 2003 pour la sauvegarde du patrimoine culturel immatériel et de la convention de l'Unesco de 1972 concernant la protection du patrimoine mondial, culturel et naturel, devrait également contribuer à la valorisation des sites concernés, tout en incitant les populations à s'approprier la valeur culturelle et historique de ces sites.
Promoting tangible and intangible cultural heritage, in the light of, inter alia, the 2003 Unesco Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage and the 1972 Unesco Convention Concerning the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage, should also contribute to the enhancement of the value of the relevant sites whilst giving to peoples a sense of ownership of the cultural and historical value of such sites.
