La Commission européenne a décidé d'aider 50 projets présentés par des organisations non gouvernementales dans le cadre des programmes Phare et Tacis 1996 pour la démocratie. Les 20 projets lancés dans les pays d'Europe centrale et orientale auxquels viennent s'ajouter 25 projets dans les nouveaux Etats indépendants et la Mongolie et 5 projets interrégionaux, seront aidés à concurrence de 3,5 millions d'écus par Phare et de 3,7 millions d'écus par Tacis.
The European Commission decided to grant aid to 50 projects submitted by non-governmental organisations under the Phare and Tacis Democracy Programme 1996: 20 projects in the Countries of Central and Eastern Europe, 25 projects in the New Independent States and Mongolia, and 5 inter-regional projects are to receive a total of 3,5 million ecus from the Phare budget and a total of 3,7 million ecus from the Tacis budget.
