The pioneering methodology used in the EU's Euroflux project, which is studying exchanges of carbon dioxide, water and energy in 17 forests throughout Europe, has impressed international experts to the extent that it is now being implemented in the equivalent US project, Ameriflux, and that it could result in the development of a world-wide integrated monitoring system to include the kind of flux measurements carried out by Euroflux.
