TRADUCTIONS EN CONTEXTE

Dans le but de mieux adapter à la croissance des besoins en statistiques les ressources limitées dont disposent les producteurs nationaux et européens pour la production de statistiques européennes, la phase d’élaboration des programmes de travail statistiques annuels de la Commission, qui déclinent dans le détail le programme pluriannuel, devrait inclure un réexamen systématique et approfondi des priorités statistiques afin de réduire les exigences de moindre importance et de simplifier les processus existants, tout en améliorant la fiabilité et en maintenant le niveau élevé de qualité de la statistique officielle.
With the aim of better matching the limited resources available to national and European producers for producing European statistics with the increasing needs for statistics, the preparation phase of the Commission’s annual statistical work programmes, which spell out in detail the multiannual programme, should include a systematic and thorough review of statistical priorities that will reduce less important requirements and simplify existing processes, while at the same time improving the reliability and maintaining the high-quality standards of official statistics.

2. Un programme statistique annuel spécifique Communauté/Suisse est élaboré chaque année, en parallèle avec le programme de travail annuel défini par la Commission conformément à la décision du Parlement européen et du Conseil établissant le programme statistique communautaire spécifique qui devra être réalisé, et constitue un sous-ensemble dudit programme de travail.
2. A specific Community/Switzerland annual statistical programme shall be developed every year as a subset of, and in parallel with, the annual work programme drawn up by the Commission in accordance with the Decision of the European Parliament and of the Council establishing the specific relevant Community statistical programme.

Each Community/Switzerland annual statistical programme shall be submitted for examination and approval to the Joint Committee.

2. Dans la préparation des programmes statistiques annuels, la Commission tient compte du rapport coût-efficacité des statistiques produites et assure un réexamen permanent des priorités statistiques, tout en veillant à maintenir la continuité chronologique des statistiques collectées, en vue de l’affectation optimale des ressources disponibles des États membres et de la Commission et de l’allégement maximal de la charge imposée aux répondants.

The Commission shall, in the preparation of the annual statistical work programmes, take account of the cost-effectiveness of the statistics produced and ensure an ongoing review of statistical priorities, with a view to making best use of available resources of the Member States and the Commission and to minimising the burden imposed on respondents, taking due care to ensure the chronological continuity of the data collected.

(7) À la lumière de la communication de la Commission au Parlement européen et au Conseil concernant la réduction de la charge des réponses, la simplification et la fixation des priorités dans le domaine des statistiques communautaires, la préparation des programmes statistiques annuels de la Commission tient compte du besoin d’un réexamen permanent des priorités statistiques, notamment de la simplification des processus et de la réduction des exigences de moindre importance, en vue d’une allocation optimale des ressources disponibles.
(7) In the light of the Communication from the Commission to the European Parliament and the Council on reduction of the response burden, simplification and priority-setting in the field of Community statistics, the preparation of the annual statistical work programmes of the Commission should take account of the need for ongoing review of statistical priorities, including the simplification of processes and the reduction of requirements of declining importance, with a view to making the best use of available resources.

1.4.3. The production of Community statistics is governed by the rules set out in Council Regulation (EC) No 322/97 of 17 February 1997 on Community Statistics (2) and actions on the establishment of Community statistics are carried out according to the Community Statistical Programme and its Annual Programmes (3) and respecting the principles set out in the European Code of Practice adopted by the Statistical Programme Committee on 24 February 2005 and attached to the Commission Communication to the European Parliament and to the Council and Recommendation of the Commission of 25 May 2005 (4) on the independence, integrity and accountability of the national and Community statistical authorities.
