L'action pilote de la Commission a été lancée afin d'essayer de compenser ces problèmes d'adaptation et de contribuer à la réalisation des objectifs suivants: - sensibiliser davantage les PME aux sources d'information existantes sur la normalisation et la certification des produits les intéressant plus particulièrement, surtout dans le domaine des nouvelles normes européennes, ainsi qu'aux exigences requises en la matière; - aider les PME à interpréter et analyser les nouvelles exigences de normalisation et de certification, telles qu'elles s'appliquent à leurs activités; - identifier les problèmes d'adaptation particuliers des PME en matière de normalisation et de certification; - aider les PME qui seraient en mesure de tirer parti d'une certification de leur système d'assurance qualité, à identifier leurs problèmes de gestion et les sensibiliser aux concepts fondamentaux de l'assurance qualité; - sensibiliser et familiariser davantage les PME aux exigences relatives à la santé et à la sécurité sur le lieu de travail.
In order to attempt to offset the problems of adjustment this pilot action was introduced in order to help: - to improve SMEs' awareness of both information sources and requirements regarding standardisation and certification of products of particular interest to SMEs, especially with respect to new European standards; - to assist SMEs to interpret and analyse the new standardisation and certification requirements as they apply to their operations; - to identify particular adjustment problems experienced by SMEs with respect to standardisation and certification; - to assist those SMEs who potentially could benefit from achieving quality assurance certification to identify their management problems and to make them aware of the basic concepts of quality assurance; - to improve SMEs awareness and understanding of the requirements of health and safety in the workplace.
