Votre rapporteur considère que cette interprétation est excessivement restrictive pour ce qui est de donner effet au droit des citoyens de se porter candidats dans un État membre autre que leur pays d'origine.
While Parliament would have no difficulty with the technical substance of the changes proposed, there remains the matter of the interpretation of the primary law which interpretation, in the view of the rapporteur, is excessively narrow in respect of giving effect to the right to stand as a candidate in a member state other than one’s own.
