Overseeing procedures carried out at the beginning and end of the term of office of MEPs and observers (drafting of notices of resignation and forwarding to the Committee on Legal Affairs (JURI), preparation of announcements in plenary, provision of information to departments, liaising with the competent national authorities, preparation of files in connection with the verification of the credentials of incoming Members).

Conformément à l'article 3, paragraphe 2, du règlement, tant que leurs pouvoirs n'ont pas été vérifiés ou qu'il n'a pas été statué sur une contestation éventuelle, Francis Zammit Dimech, Dennis Radtke, Jonathan Bullock, France Jamet et Nosheena Mobarik siègent au Parlement européen et dans ses organes en pleine jouissance de leurs droits, à la condition qu'ils aient effectué au préalable la déclaration qu'ils n'exercent pas une fonction incompatible avec celle de député au Parlement européen.
Under Rule 3(2), until such time as their credentials had been verified or a ruling had been given on any dispute, and provided that they had previously made a written declaration stating that they did not hold any office incompatible with that of Member of the European Parliament, Francis Zammit Dimech, Dennis Radtke, Jonathan Bullock, France Jamet and Nosheena Mobarik would take their seats in Parliament and on its bodies and would enjoy all the rights attaching thereto.

11.2 Pour pouvoir accéder aux informations classifiées au niveau TRÈS SECRET UE/EU TOP SECRET, au niveau SECRET UE/EU SECRET ou à leurs équivalents, les députés au Parlement européen doivent avoir été autorisés à cet effet conformément à la procédure décrite aux points 11.3 et 11.14.
11.2 In order to have access to information classified at the level SECRET UE/EU SECRET or TRÈS SECRET UE/EU TOP SECRET or its equivalent, Members of the European Parliament shall have been authorised in accordance with the procedure referred to in points 11.3 and 11.14.

11.1. Considers that Members must be given access to quality services in order to be able to perform their duties on an equal footing; stresses, therefore, the importance of equal treatment of Members of all nationalities and languages in terms of possibility for them to carry out the duties and political activity incumbent upon them in their own language if they so choose; finds, for instance, the absence of interpretation in committee meetings to be unacceptable; believes that the principle of sound financial management needs to apply to interpretation and translation as well;
